Teens Meet Outreach

In 2017, we recorded a few feats and were glad to kick-start 2018 in full force. We did that and here we are, at the end of 2018, reviewing how the year went.

The year for us began with putting together the #TMOArmy, which consists of the Management Committee, Blog Authors, Media, Location heads, and Community Service Volunteers. We then worked together effectively as a team all through the year.

To mark the International Women’s Day 2018, TMO visited 3 schools in Lagos and Oyo Nigeria and The Gambia. We targeted the female students and gave a proper lecture on menstrual hygiene and also distributed free pads afterward. We were able to reach out to about 400 teenage girls.

2nd Year Anniversary

We celebrated our second year anniversary on the 10th of June 2018. It was a time to look back at how far we had come and how much more we still have to do. We got a number of testimonials which were shared on our social media platforms. This anniversary was a reminder of who we are, the lives that have been impacted through this medium, and where we are going.

We had the second edition of our community outreach, Leaving Prints On Hearts, in June 2018 in Five different locations:

• Footprints of David Art, Bariga. Lagos Nigeria
• School of the Blind, Owo. Ondo Nigeria
• Nigeria Training for the Blind, Randa Area. Ogbomoso Nigeria
• Ife City Junior School, Ile-Ife. Osun Nigeria
• Busumbala Village, Brikama. The Gambia

This, as usual, was a time to leave prints on the hearts of as many people as we could. The beauty of this is that it goes both ways- the people reached out to and the people reaching out are blessed by the act of kindness.

Online Chat: TMO Conversations 3.0

We held the third edition of our online chat known as “TMO Conversations”. This time, it was themed An Excellence Driven Teenager, and our guest- Ms. Mmanti Umoh did justice to the theme and ensured everyone present did learn a thing or two.

We launched the maiden edition of our magazine on the 5th of November 2018 and have recorded about 300 downloads so far. This is a dream come true for us and we are glad to have been able to pull it through this year.

December is for drafting plans for the new year and making sure things are in place and that’s exactly what we are busy with at the moment.
