IWD PadATeen Project 2024

Every year, in March, we commemorate International Women’s Day (IWD) by reaching out to teen girls in secondary schools or communities. The primary goal is to have a safe space to discuss menstrual cycle and hygiene and distribute free pads – 1-3 per person at the end of the session. For this year’s edition, we distributed 520 pads to 310 girls in Two states in Nigeria:
LAGOS – 460 Pads to 250 Girls
Locations:
- Mende Senior High School, Lagos
- Learning Gate College, Lagos
- Makoko Community (merged with Learning Gate College), Lagos
IBADAN – 60 Pads to 60 Girls
Location:
- Oyo State Juvenile Correctional Institution/Centre for Abandoned Children, Ibadan.
This PadATeen project started in 2018 and we have so far reached a total of 1427 girls in seven locations, two countries.

Leaving Prints On Hearts (LPOH) 2024

Our LPOH project was first introduced in 2017 to celebrate our first anniversary, and it has since become a yearly event. The goal is to gather teenagers and young adults from the TMO Army to reach out to the community, be it Orphanages, Homes, or the Street, and distribute foodstuff, clothing items, and more as needed.
For our 8th edition this year, we reached 55 hearts in two locations, totalling 3161 hearts over the years in 9 states and two countries over the years.
Places we visited in Nigeria this year:
- LAGOS – Old People’s Home in Yaba – 15 hearts
- ILE-IFE OSUN – Covenant Orphanage and Welfare Centre – 40 hearts
We wrote a detailed report of what we did and distributed in these two locations. Click the button below for more.
What to expect in 2025
There has been some reorganization in the team this year and we’ve had more people take on leadership roles. So, the plan for next year is to be more deliberate about our projects. This means, while we will still have our regular events, we’ll be reaching out to a lot more teenagers and impacting more lives.
A big THANK YOU to the TMO Army for volunteering and giving themselves to service. We’re also thankful to YOU who have been with us on this journey, supporting us in cash and in kind. We hope it doesn’t stop there, as there’s so much more to be done.
And if you’re yet to join us, here’s our special invite!
