The reason why there is a smile on your face is because there is joy in your heart. Of course, you can’t be happy without a reason, most of us are simply happy because certain things are working out well in our lives.
Do you know that you can’t be truly happy if you can’t trust and obey?

But to trust and obey
It is one thing to be in Christ, it is another to have the joy of salvation. The joy of salvation only comes with fulfillment of the promises of God in your life. These promises are only fulfilled when you can trust and obey.
Your trust comes out of your love for God. If you don’t love God then it is impossible to trust in him and the reason why you trust in a person is because he or she can neither fail you or lie to you.
This new year, the precious key to unlock several doors (spiritual, academic, career) is by trusting and obeying God even in the storm and dark. If you can’t trust and obey him who is your creator for some reasons that are best known to you, you can’t have a fulfilled life.
Learn to trust and obey God and have a fulfilled year.
He never fails.
