Fresh Courage

Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ~ Philippians 1:6

Are you discouraged today? Afraid of an uncertain future? The Bible tells the story of the time when Jesus disciples were not only discouraged, but were actually in terror for their very lives

Jesus had told them to get into a boat and go over to the other side of the Sea of Galilee and they obeyed.

But when they were a considerable distance from the land, a fierce storm aroused that terrified them. Jesus who had been on the mountain praying went to meet the disciples walking on water thinking Jesus was a ghost so he told him to take courage and not be afraid ~ Matthew 14:27.

There are two reasons why the disciples were not afraid:

  1. Jesus could help them stop the storm
  2. He told them to go to the other side which means nothing would happen to them and they would surely reach their destination.

Where God guides he provides…

Jesus know where you’re at this moment. As complicated and tangled your situation might seem right now, it’s all perfectly clear to him.

He knows what you’re thinking and experiencing. He’s telling you to be courageous because he’s with you and there’s a brighter tomorrow for you.

Even if you’ve failed, even if you’ve made a lot of mistakes. It’s over now and you can still pick up lessons learnt from them to help you become a better person.

God has a future for everyone of us…

One of my favorite parts of the scripture is Jeremiah 29:11

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

God will complete the work he has began.

Take courage!!!
