Music Monday: God of Everywhere

If you know anything about me, it is the fact that I have alternating seasons of being a fitness junkie and one that has little to no care in the world for anything fitness related. I know the latter part is not acceptable but then we move! My least favorite fitness activity is running. Yes, I do not love running at all. Do I run? Every once in a while, I try to get my steps in faster by running. My running track is not exactly the best according to google. It says it is too much of a flat surface.

How does my love-hate relationship with running concerns our music Monday?

It is the fact that in running, I have come to understand the different steps that come with the surface of the ground. I have come to have a better appreciation for the hills and the valleys.

Hills and Valleys by Tauren Wells

I’ve walked among the shadows

You wiped my tears away

And I’ve felt the pain of heartbreak

And I’ve seen the brighter days

And I’ve prayed prayers to heaven from my lowest place

And I have held the blessings

God, you give and take away

No matter what I have, Your grace is enough

No matter where I am, I’m standing in Your love

On the mountains, I will bow my life

To the one who set me there

In the valley, I will lift my eyes to the one who sees me there

When I’m standing on the mountain aft, didn’t get there on my own

When I’m walking through the valley end, no I am not alone!

You’re God of the hills and valleys!

Hills and Valleys!

God of the hills and valleys

And I am not alone!

I’ve watched my dreams get broken

In you I hope again!

No matter what I know

Know I’m safe inside Your hand

On the mountains, I will bow my life

To the one who set me there

In the valley, I will lift my eyes to the one who sees me there

When I’m standing on the mountain aft, didn’t get there on my own

When I’m walking through the valley end, no I am not alone!

You’re God of the hills and valleys!

Hills and Valleys!

God of the hills and valleys

And I am not alone!

Father, you give and take away

Every joy and every pain

Through it all you will remain

Over it all!

Father, you give and take away

Every joy and every pain

Through it all you will remain

Over it all!

On the mountains, I will bow my life

To the one who set me there (to the one who set me there)

In the valley, I will lift my eyes to the one who sees me there

When I’m standing on the mountain aft, didn’t get there on my own

When I’m walking through the valley end, no I am not alone!

You’re God of the hills and valleys!

Hills and Valleys!

God of the hills and valleys

And I am not alone!

You’re God of the hills and valleys!

Hills and Valleys!

God of the hills and valleys

And I am not alone!

And I will choose to say “Blessed be Your name, yeah, yeah”

And I am not alone

While running, I have cried my eyes out to God and I have always been reminded that I am never alone. Life is more like running, seeing everything go up and down while journeying through the trails can make the sojourn pretty lonely. Remember, you are never alone

Hebrews 13: 5 I will not never ever fail you nor forsake you. MSG
