The inner beauty is the beauty that comes from the inside of a thing.
I have heard people qualifying someone or something by saying it is beautiful in and out.
Can we say the content of a thing would, in one way or the other, determine what the outside would look like?
Whatever a man ingest is what he produces. Input determines output.
The inner beauty is the one the Lord implanted in a person and one can keep the beauty glowing by allowing the Spirit of God to redecorate and renew.
The inner beauty is God-made and it reflects to the outer and add more value to the personality.
Beauty is really not about the facial appearance because that is what most people use to judge how beautiful a person is.
A beautiful heart is what really determines a person’s beauty.
The outer beauty is the physical appearance. It is so much dependent on the inner beauty.
When the inside is made over by God, much make over is not needed to patch up the outer.
An instance of how the outer is dependent on the inner is when a person is sad, how much of the reflection would be seen on the person’s face? In like manner, when a person is happy, how much of the glow would be expressed on the face?
Few of the things that beautifies the inside are as follows:
1. Loving heart
Love contributes immensely to growth and happiness. Wherever there’s love, there surely would be beauty that never fades.
2. Peaceful heart
Hebrews 12:14a: Follow peace with all men.
Even when the peace is not forthcoming, try to create one because when there’s no unity amidst a group of people, it surely would affect inner peace.
3. Cheerful heart
A cheerful spirit prolongs life and brings about happiness and beauty. A smiling attitude should be inculcated. Smile adds to beauty and increases the glow on the face. A moody face does not help at all.
Mark 9:50 Salt is good: but if the salt have lost his saltness, wherewith will ye season it? Have salt in yourselves and have peace one with another.
The above passage emphasize the essence of sweetness and happiness.
4. Holy living
Hebrews 12:14 Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord.
Holiness and beauty goes hand in hand. Holiness is not shabby living. A holy life will surely reflect beauty.
If the aforementioned attributes are inculcated, it would surely help beautify and reflect God’s glory in your life.
God alone can beautify your life, not material things, not human, not vain words. I am a testimony of that, He can beautify yours too!
