To be totally honest with you, this past week was emotionally draining. There were a few days that I not only felt physically tired but I felt so mentally drained that I had to take a break. Unfortunately, my break was short-lived as I could not totally neglect my responsibilities.
Why am I telling you all this? I don’t think you care about my life that much.
Anyways, in the middle of my tiredness, I had to be intentional about a lot of things but the most important thing I had to do was to remember God’s faithfulness.
1 Thessalonians 5: 24 simply states, “Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it.”
Remembering God’s faithfulness is a reminder that if He did it before, He is more than capable to do it again.
One of Lauren Daigle’s song “Remember” perfectly describes how important it is to never forget how faithful God has been.
Fear is on my chest, the weight of the world on me
Everything is crashing down, everything I had known
When I wonder if I’m all alone
You have always been faithful to me
I remember, I remember
Even when my own eyes could not see
You were there, always there
Above all the lies, I know You can make a way
I have seen giants fall, I have seen mountains move
I have seen waters part because of You
You have always been faithful to me
I remember (I remember) I remember (I remember)
Even when my own eyes could not see
You were there, always there
I can’t stop thinking about
I can’t stop thinking about
Your goodness, goodness
I can’t stop thinking about
I can’t stop thinking about
I can’t stop thinking about
Your goodness, goodness
I can’t stop thinking about
I can’t stop thinking about
I can’t stop thinking about
Your goodness, goodness
I can’t stop thinking about
I can’t stop thinking about
I can’t stop thinking about
Your goodness, goodness
You have always been faithful to me
I remember (I remember) I remember (I remember)
Even when my own eyes could not see
You were there, always there, with me
