Teens Meet Outreach

A group of people with mind-blowing ideas will shake the world ✨.

This was the energy we felt in the room on the 20th of September 2022 at Wesley Girls Senior Secondary School as we interacted with about 100 girls in their final high school year.

The experience was second to none and here’s what happened:

The event which had about 100 students in attendance started off with an introductory session by Elizabeth Surulere. This was preceded by a session held by Solomon Emakwu, explaining the aim and objectives and the overview of the organization.

One of our certified Teen Mentors (Olurotimi Ojeniyi) took the enlightening session on PURPOSE and we must say this is something that will be replicated. The students were willing to learn and their excitement was palpable.

We encouraged a question-and-answer session, where the girls were able to freely express themselves and get answers to mind-boggling questions. This was led by Elizabeth Surulere and a few students carted away with gifts.

After the session, we shared some items with the students.

• Book Divider
• Exercise Books, and
• Pens.

Speaking after the event, Adura Precious, the Senior Prefect of the school had this to say;

“I learnt a lot about Purpose and its application. I wish to join TMO and I’ll love to reach out to teenagers behind me.”

Ibrahim Ruqoyat, an SS3A student said she was inspired by the event, and appreciated the organization for its generosity.

Adebanjo Rihannat, another SS3A student said the programme was impactful, she learnt about purpose, the phases of life, education, and eventually appreciated the organization for their time and the souvenirs

Overall, the TMO Lagos team found the experience exciting and would do a follow-up with some of the students with time.

We will like to appreciate the management of the school for their support all through. Also, to everyone who donated to this cause.
