Heb 12:14 “strive for peace with all men, and for the holiness without which no one will see the Lord” RSV
The phrase “strive for peace” doesn’t just come from the dictionary, it comes from your heart; you can’t strive for peace when you have hatred in your heart or when you’re filled with envy. You can only strive for peace when you have LOVE. Check 1 Cor 13: 4- 7
When you live in love, you’ll barely find yourself in unnecessary competitions that can lead to envy, jealousy and hatred in you. The truth is, jealousy doesn’t make you any better than that person you have issues with, it even worsens it, but Love makes you better, and even strengthen your relationship with the person.
When you live in love, you won’t be bothered about offenses. Offenses will definitely come, but forgiveness should be part of your watchword. When all that matters to you is fulfilling the Lord’s commandment which is to love your neighbor.
John 15:12 “this is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you”
Then you would be way above your peers.
When you live in love, you would never want to do what the father hates.
John 14:15 “if you love me, you will keep my commandments”
Praying for your friends and parent would be way too easier when you love them.
In summary, it is only God who can make you above. He is Love, he loved us before we were formed, he kept us and defined our lives, gave us his spirit. So we are also expected to return our Love back to him.
So when you love the one whose name is LOVE, you become his and you would definitely be above.
John 15:23 “Jesus answered him, if a man loves me, he will keep my word, and my father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him.”
So the secret to being above and be a teenager who is beyond definition is to Love. Keep loving, don’t stop loving, LOVE GOD.
