On the 25th of February, we reached out to Bottrop Secondary School in Brikama, The Gambia- following our School Outreach project. We focused mainly on the students in the graduating year, preparing for WAEC.
We talked to them about their career and way forward in life, after which core questions were raised by some of the students.
It was a fulfilling time for both the volunteers and the students who attested to have benefitted greatly from the session which lasted a little over an hour due to the many questions raised.
After the session, we distributed 200 Free Mathematical Set Boxes to 200 students to help them prepare towards their upcoming exams.
The goal for us is to remind every teenager that they can do and be better than what the world (themselves inclusive) think they can. One teenager at a time; we set the pace and they follow.
This is our 7th school so far, across Nigeria and The Gambia and the first this year.
We look forward to more wins.
