Is Anyone Talentless?

So, I recently took part in a competition and I was asked to perform a talent. Honestly, all my life when asked the question “what’s your talent” I always reply, I don’t know or rather, I don’t have. So when I was asked to perform a talent and everyone around me began to rehearse singing, dancing, comedy, I got scared. I thought what’s my talent? Am I talentless? Does this mean I have nothing to offer?

I realized that there are a lot of people like me out there who because we don’t have what the world has deemed a talent, we hide away believing we have nothing to offer. Just because we don’t have the voice of Whitney Houston, or the Dance moves of Kaffy nor do we have the comedy bone of basketmouth doesn’t mean we’re talentless. It doesn’t make us less important. There’s something inside every one of us.

There’s a place for every one of us in the world on the big stage. I believe courage and confidence is a talent, facing crowds is a talent, waking up every day and refusing to give up on your dreams, your life, no matter how hard it gets takes talent. We’re all talented in one way or another, maybe not in the way the world considers a talent but trust me, no one is talentless.

Believe in yourself and in everything you can do, because no matter what anyone says, we are talented.
