On the 26th of March 2019, we reached out to Nusrat Senior Secondary School, Tallinding, The Gambia, following our #PadATeen project in March.
It was an exciting time with the girls in the school as we sensitized them on the menstrual cycle and answered their questions. They seemed to have so many questions about the menstrual cycle but we ensured we covered it to an extent.
There were about 500 girls available for the lecture but only about 120 received the free sanitary pads we went with.
Both the volunteers and participants enjoyed the session and as much as we wished we did more, we are looking forward to better days ahead.
Thankful to the administration of Nusrat School for permitting us to do this with the girls.
