1. Sleep on your side to avoid snoring
Sleeping flat on the back may cause the flesh of the throat to relax and block the airway, and this causes snoring. Snoring can be an indication of obstructed breathing. The noisy sounds of snoring occur when there is an obstruction to the free flow of air through the passages at the back of the mouth and nose.
2. Drink water first in the morning
This helps you stay hydrated. Water ensures that your metabolism is functioning optimally. After sleeping all night, your body will be slightly dehydrated.
3. Hot steam inhalation
This does not cure an infection, but it helps you feel a lot better while your body fights it off. It provides temporary relief from symptoms of common cold, flu, and nasal allergies.
4. When you burn your hands with oil or fire at home
If the burn is very little and not too deep, pour cool water, preferably a running water on the hand, then wash with mild soap and water. Compress the hand with a clean wet cloth to relieve pain. Honey and aloe vera can be used for first aid treatment.
5. The oral rehydration therapy
This is very effective in preventing and correcting dehydration, which can be the consequence of diarrhea or vomiting.
6. DIY Oral Rehydration Solution
ORS is a simple solution that can be homemade.
- 1 litre of water
- 6 level teaspoon of sugar
- Half level teaspoon of salt
Mix the salt and sugar to dissolve, then pour the salt and sugar into the 1 liter of water.
Mix well, and drink frequently for 24 hours.
7. Stop nose bleeding
to stop nose bleeding, which is also known as epitaxis, apply a cold compressor on the nose, pinch the nose, get foods rich in vitamin like cabbage, mustard green, spinach to aid blood clotting. Take a lot of water.
8. When a person faints

Take away any triggers, allow the individual to sit straight upright, for air into the passageway. Tell the individual to take slow deep breathes.
10. In the case of a child convulsing
While you call for help, place the child on the floor. Clear away objects, loosen tight clothing around the head, and neck. Don’t try to hold the child down. If the child vomits, move him onto his side and clear his mouth.
