Imbalance Fights Better

Balance, according to my mathematics dictionary, is an attribute of a shape or relation; exact reflection of form on opposite sides of a dividing line or plane. In simple words, its a state of equilibrium or harmony on all sides.

The theme for this month says “Balance for better” so I ask you what’s your present state of mind? Is it balanced, or running riot?

Maintaining balance in one’s life and mindset may seem an impossible hurdle, but it’s the sure way to being better every day, that is why Joyce Meyer a book titled “Battlefield of the Mind”.

Imbalance has been an issue right from the creation of mankind and different men have tried various means in order to put up a good fight against this abstract force; while some succeeded, some seem never to even leave the preparation phase.

Imbalance fights the better person we can be when we don’t have a balanced image of who we ought to be.
Imbalance fights the best of all relationships we could have when we don’t have a balanced opinion of others right from our mind.
Imbalance fights our lifestyle of worship that is meant to keep getting better by the day when we do not have a balanced view of who God is.

Imbalance will make one sober and pitiful when one ought to be bright and lively.
Imbalance makes one live in hate and fear when love is being offered on a platter of gold.
Imbalance makes one insecure even when one is exposed to the perfect law of liberty and freedom.

Just as balance is an attribute of shape, so also an imbalance in a man’s mindset will reflect in his lifestyle and actions.

Being Informed is a good way to fight imbalance, but flexibility and willingness to adapt and adopt changes uncovered is a better way of kicking it out.

Be informed about who you ought to be, what has been provided for you and how you ought to treat/deal with others and you are a step closer to balance.

For I know the plans and thoughts that I have for you,’ says the Lord , ‘plans for peace and well-being and not for disaster to give you a future and a hope.
