What is your lifestyle saying about you?
How do you live your life?
Your lifestyle speaks a lot about you more than your mouth can speak of you.
Lifestyle is a style of living that reflects the attitudes and values of a person or group. It is no longer news that people nowadays don’t read books to know how to behave or act in a particular manner but they read individual lifestyle of people they see around them. Someone is definitely watching you.
If someone you’ve never met is asked to say something about you, you would be surprised at how much the person has to say. Whose style of living do you copy?
Ask yourself these two questions:
- What do I want my life to be like?
- Who do I want to be in it?
Answering these questions in the best and most honest way possible will be your definition of what you want in life and who you want to become, and will eventually become your reality after some time.
The way you live now, regardless of whether you like it or not, is what you chose to live like.
Few things to note in your daily living:
1. Be intentional about living like Christ
A Christlike life is a generous and impactful life. It is a kind of life that loves unconditionally that is without expecting anything in return. Live a life worthy of emulation.
2. Live with a mind of impacting your world positively
Whether you are conscious of it or not, you impact someone on a daily basis. It is your decision to decide either to impact positively or negatively.
Let people be blessed because they are related to you.
3. Think positive always
Your actions and words daily is a product of your thought.
A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.
Luke 6:45
4. Watch your use of words in your communication with people
Word they say is important in communication. Your use of words must be chosen carefully.
Speak words that build up and not words that tear down. Speak edifying words.
Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath: James 1:19
5. Live to leave prints on hearts
Can you recount how many people you have been a blessing to since you were born or became matured enough?
Leaving prints on hearts isn’t about the material gift you are able to give but about how you are able to put smile on the face of somebody, no matter how little. It could be a word of encouragement, a small gift, lending a helping hand, paying someone’s bills and the likes.
Do something to someone that would leave a print on their heart.

This is our anniversary month and our focus is leaving prints on hearts. How do you leave prints on hearts? In your little way, bless someone and leave a print on their heart.
{See our previous LPOH editions where we left prints on hearts in communities}.
Take a minute to reflect on how you live your life. Do you like what you see? Can it be better?
It’s good to be considerate of yourself and have personal respect as you enter adulthood. The steps you take now is the highway you use later.
