Different Forms of Attitude

“If you will only listen and obey the commandments of the Lord your God that I am giving you today, he will make you the head and not the tail and you shall always have the upper hand” – Deut 28:13

Attitude is defined as the opinions and feelings that you usually have towards something. The way you behave towards someone or in a particular situation especially when this shows how you feel, it is also the manner of acting that shows one’s inward thought and feelings. Attitude means you outlook disposition, mental state, and mindset. Your attitude, more than your aptitude, determines your altitude in life.

Success in life is not dependent on what happens to you but on what you made out of it. Not where you are but who you are; not what you do but how you do it. What makes you or breaks you is not outside of you but is inside of you. Moreover, there is no difference among human beings that always makes a big difference except for attitude. The big difference is whether your attitude is positive or negative.

As a Christian teenager, you have to be aware of the fact that:

  • Your attitude represents your disposition, personality, outlook, and character.
  • Your actions and attitudes reflect who you really are.
  • Your attitude is always your choice.
  • Your attitude reveals the real you.
  • and there is power in your attitude, it will determine how far you will go.

Different forms of Attitude:

1. Affirmation

You must affirm, “I deserve to succeed and I have the ability to succeed” I can make it; I will be great in life. I am going higher, I am destined to fly – Phil. 4:13

2. Belief

You have to believe that you can achieve your heart goal someday through the help of God – John 11:40

3. Commitment

God inspired you by a dream; God has put the ball in your court. Hit it back with a commitment together with God you will make it happen – Ecc 9:10, Col 3:23

4. Discovery

Discover your talent, the possibility, the way. Your real talent dwells deep down in you and you may not have discovered it yet – Matt. 7:7

5. Education

Do not be deceived as many are to take shortcuts avoiding the hard years of study. It is said, the knowledgeable person who has the right answers is the one who impresses the powerful people – Prov. 4:7-9, Prov. 23:23

In conclusion, have a positive attitude, which is the ability to:

  • To see challenges as opportunities
  • To remain optional in uncertain times
  • To see setbacks as temporary inconveniences

Have a positive attitude always!
