Now, what are some of the important things to do, to help you ace your exams every term, and remain top of your class?
1. Read your school notes everyday
One very important thing to do, to help get familiar with your school notes is to always read every day after school. This not only helps you become familiar with what you have been taught but also helps you to always be prepared for any impromptu tests, note areas of confusion, if any, and seek clarification, as soon as you can.
2. Do your assignments
Assignments are Mini-examinations. They help test your understanding of what you have been taught, but in a more relaxed environment. Make sure to always do your assignments by yourself, or seek help when needed. This helps you master the subject matter better.

3. Ask questions during class, when not clear
Another tip to take note of, in your journey to acing your examinations, is to ask questions in class. This helps you to get the correct knowledge being passed across.
4. Read extra materials beyond your class notes
To excel and lead your class, you must go beyond what you are only taught in class, to reading other relevant materials, to give you a broader understanding of the concept. This helps you have an edge over others who only rely on the teacher’s notes, as given in the class.
5. Revise before each exam
Revision helps to refresh your memory over what you already read. This is a very important part of reading, to excel in your exams, and should be taken seriously.
6. Pray
Prayers answer all things, but prayer without preparation is not effective, hence my emphasis on the other tips above. However, prayer plays a key part in excelling in your studies.
Pray, and ask God to lead you on what to read, to give you a retentive memory to remember all you have read, and help you answer the questions in a way to suit your teacher’s expectations.

In all, Read well and Pray fervently! One cannot substitute the other; Balance is key!
