Hi fam, it’s been a while!
I really want us to check this concept behind the merry of Christmas as we will be celebrating Christmas in due time.
We have read from many Christian books, heard from many preachers, and most people often ask if there are any biblical reasons why Jesus Christ came in human form to the earth. And the most common replies to all is that Jesus Christ came to seek and to save those who are lost, and to pay the penalty for their sins. But surprisingly, there is a lot to why He came in Human form, much more than we could have ever imagined.
Have you read what Prophet Isaiah said about His appearance in Isaiah 53?
Isaiah 53 “Who has believed our message and to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed? He grew up before him like a tender shoot and like a root out of dry ground…”
Jesus came to fulfill prophecies.
Reasons why Jesus came in the Human form
The first reason why Jesus came was to fulfil those prophecies that were spoken through the prophets.
Matthew 21: 4-5 “Say to Daughter Zion; See, your King comes to you, Gentle and riding on a donkey. And on a colt, the foal of a donkey”
Isaiah 9: 6-7 “For to us a child is born, to us, a child is given. And the government will be on His shoulders…”
And also, the one which was said by the Angel to come to pass.
Luke 1:35 Bible says the angel answered, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the Holy one to be born will be called the Son of God.”
1. Jesus came in human form so that the thoughts of many hearts will be revealed.
Luke 2: 34-35, Then Simeon blessed them and said to Mary, his mother: “This child is destined to cause the falling and rising of many in Israel, and to be a sign that will be spoken against, so that the thoughts of many hearts will be revealed. And a sword will pierce your own soul too.
3. To taste death for everyone. Hebrew 2:1-9
4. To bear upon Himself our grieves. Isaiah 53:4
5. To be killed so as to complete our work of salvation Mark 8:31, 9:31
“..While we are yet sinners, Christ died for us” Romans 5:8
A spirit cannot die, that was why Jesus Christ came in human form to die for our sins.
After saying this, he was taken up into a cloud while they were watching, and they could no longer see him. As they strained to see him rising into heaven, two white-robed men suddenly stood among them. “Men of Galilee,” they said, “why are you standing here staring into heaven? Jesus has been taken from you into heaven, but someday he will return from heaven in the same way you saw him go!” – Act 1:9-11
We have seen Jesus Christ come in a human form so that He could return.
He learned obedience from what he suffered and, once made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation for all who obey him.
