I wanted to write something different to end this series, but this topic dropped in my heart while I was praying this morning.
I watched a Christian movie earlier in 2018 and I will like to share.
A young orphan boy who lives in an orphanage was ardent for God; he talked about the father. He believed God cares for him and that God will provide a good parent to take care of him.
As much as this 7years old boy’s faith looked stupid to his guardian and other orphans around him, he trusted on God and kept confessing that word, that God cares for him. One day, he found a good parent who took care of him.
It doesn’t matter if your earthly father is good or bad; whether he cares for you or not, supports you or not, all that matters is that we all have a father who is good, cares for us and would never want to see us go astray.
Do you think of your earthly father as a man who is still battling with disappointment? He hardly fulfils his promises, for reasons you can’t place your fingers on? Our Heavenly Father is not like that.
Remember the Lord’s prayer:
Our father who hath in heaven
Hallowed be thy name
These two verses tell us his abode.
If a son asks for bread from any father among you, will he give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent instead of a fish? Or if he asks for an egg, will he offer him a scorpion? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!
Luke 11:11- 13
He cares for us even more than our earthly father does.
How did I know this?
Casting all your care upon him for he careth for you.
I Peter 5:7
However, this understanding that God cares for us could look delusional if you are yet to understand that God loves us so dear.
But God commendeth his love towards us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
Romans 5:8
The definition of fatherhood is in the Almighty God, and I believe everyone should understand this and join the family of God.
You see, your earthly father calls you to check on you when you are in school, asks you about feeding, going out and having friends. God does that too for his children, which is why Christ, while he was on earth, never ceased to exalt the father and the relationship he has with the father.
Jesus always talked about the father and how he wants we Christians to believe in the father through him.
Does God care about your well being? Of course yes.
About your health? He does
About your academics?
About your career?
About your eternal life?
Oh yes, God does care about all of you and he needs you to trust him.
For as many as are led by the spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
Romans 8:14
So, as a child of God, God’s DNA is his spirit and we cannot inherit this spirit if we do not come into the family as God’s son.
There is so much joy to have a father who cares for you and tends for you, and today, God is asking if you will allow him to father you.
How can you enjoy the fatherhood of God?
1. Be saved
Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord.
Acts 3:19
2. Indwelling of the Holy Spirit
The spirit of God is the proof and seal of our salvation. Which means if you are saved, you have the spirit of God in you already. One way we Christians know about the indwelling of the Holy Spirit is through the evidence of speaking in a new tongue, as seen in Acts 2.
3. Seek to know more about God
I do not cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers: that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places.
Ephesians 1:16-20
Enjoy the fellowship with the father. Keep believing, keep praying, worshiping, and of course telling others about the love of the father.

I will leave you with this:
If you think your earthly father has failed you, do not be worried because our Heavenly Father does not fail, cannot fail and he will definitely NOT start with you. You just need to trust him.
