LPOH 7.0 | Special Projects and Collaborations

For the seventh edition of our Leaving Prints On Hearts (LPOH) project, we decided to take a different path by collaborating with other organizations while specifically reaching out to schools.

LPOH started about six years ago, with a focus on giving back to the community and we’ve managed to impact about 4000 people so far. This year, instead of communities, we connected with schools and a summary will be shared below, as we already shared a full update on each of the projects.

Please note that contributions for this project were made in-house with personal funds from a few volunteers. As a result, we will not be providing a financial summary as we have done in previous projects.

This year, we had three projects: two in Lagos, Nigeria and one in Ibadan Nigeria. See the summary below according to the order of events.

Ibadan Nigeria

A revisit to House Of Providence Special School For Children With Intellectual Disability, Yemetu-Alaadorin, Ibadan27th May 2023.

Volunteers: Miracle Abraham

If you recall, we visited this school last year, joined in some of their activities, and formed a partnership with them. At the event this year (which happened on Children’s Day), the team provided drinks for about 100 children in attendance, coordinated the event, and participated in the care of children who were physically restricted by their disability.

Lagos Nigeria – Part 1

A visit to Ken Ade Private Schools situated at 13, Falodun street New Makoko, Lagos Nigeria6th July 2023.

Volunteers: Surulere Elizabeth, Kazeem Olamijuwonlo, and Akinpelu Favour Ayomide.

In our visit to this school, We teamed up with EARLY BEAN – an all-in-one finance app for kids, teens, and families – to sensitize the students on financial literacy and education and also share some writing materials.

Lagos Nigeria – Part 2

A Money Fest in Igbobi College, Yaba, Lagos Nigeria14th December 2023.

Volunteers: Oluwatosin Faith Kolawole, Elizabeth Surulere, Solomon Emakwu, and Ibukun Esan

For this event, we joined LITTLE App – a pocket money app for kids. It’s an easy and convenient way to give your child pocket money, set spending limits, and monitor spending habits.

We had a session here where we discussed with the students on how to save. Oluwatosin Faith Kolawole introduced TMO while Solomon Eneojo took the session and entertained questions and answers. We generally had a fun moment with the students.

Thanks to everyone who partnered with us this year as we look forward to more collaborations and projects in the new year.
