Relationship is the connection or association of two or more people, and there are different kinds of relationship in teenagers. We have that of siblings, parents, friends of either same or opposite sex, lovers and others.
Right now, I’m focusing on the lovers relationship. Relationship is not something to be rushed into, so you don’t rush out when frustration sets in.
Relationships rushed into leave no room for preparation for the future at all and then when fears and challenges of the future comes up, the people involved in the relationship often find it difficult to overcome.
Most often than not, people are recognized by what produce them and what they produce.
Matthew 7:16 explains that we can’t pick grapes from thorn-bushes or figs from thistles.
Before you proceed into a relationship, answer these questions:
Who is the mentor of the person you’re in a relationship with?
What kind of parent-relationship does he/she have?
What does he/she produce?
What does his/her way of life look like?
Are you convinced he/she is not a wolf in sheep clothing?
Matthew 7:20 “wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them”.
Prudent living can only be inherited from God, not from parents. If you notice the parents are Godly and prudent, it doesn’t guarantee that the son/daughter you want to be in a relationship with would be as well.
Be on a look out not just for your dream guy/lady but for the God-made guy/lady for you.
As wonderful as marriage is, wrong relationship/partnership can mar the lives of those involved.
Right relationship would lift you to fulfill purpose and live joyous. You have the word of God to guide you day and night, which alone can give you the best out of life and relationship.
Not meddling into something that can lead to fear and challenges is the only way to live peacefully, though life would always offer challenges but once you find yourself in it, you have to overcome and fight it out through the help of God.
